July 17, 2024 - Release Notes

There was no downtime needed for this release.

BS - 6052 Invoices: Fixed an issue where unconfirming a transaction in 3PL Warehouse Manager would delete its associated charges even if they had already been published in an invoice. As we advance, unconfirming a transaction will not delete charges that are part of a published invoice. Charges will be deleted if they are part of an unpublished invoice, or if the charge has not yet been invoiced. This means that reconfirming a transaction could result in duplicate charges if the original charges are part of a published invoice. Users must manage those duplicate charges manually if they occur.

BS - 5661 Charges: Added a Recalculate option to the Actions menu on the Charges page. This action opens a modal from which you can identify any existing charges that you want the system to recalculate. This might be appropriate if you have changed/added rates since the charges for one or more transactions were initially calculated.

Two important things to note when recalculating charges:

1) When recalculating charges for a time period, the process of generating new charges can take some time, during which you will not be able to do anything else in Billing Manager.

2) If an existing charge is part of a published invoice it will not be deleted before recalculating charges, which can lead to duplicate charges. If that happens, you must manually determine how to deal with those duplicates. For this reason, we highly recommend recalculating charges for a specific customer and not "All Customers" to avoid unexpected duplicate charges.
