Extensiv 2025 Q2 Release Notes

This article hosts the release notes for the products in our Early Access Program (3PL Warehouse Manager, Billing Manager, and Small Parcel Suite).

3PL Warehouse Manager

Rollback

We rolled back the Improved Order Allocation we released last week due to feedback that the new allocation logic caused some confusion. This will ensure a consistent and predictable experience while we work on refining the updated logic. You can review how our order allocation works here, and we'll keep you updated about when we plan to release the improved order allocation.

3PL Warehouse Manager

Improvements

Receive Item Images: You can view, edit, and remove image files attached to specific receive items in the Manage Inventory page. These images can be attached from 3PL Warehouse Manager or taken using SmartScan. Learn more about this feature in our help article.

Audit Inventory: When you try to edit an audit job, the system will now check if the job is still open. This prevents issues where a job might appear open but is already being worked on.

Improved Order Allocation: The system now prefers to allocate inventory from the same location to reduce fragmented allocations. This helps keep inventory more organized. See the new allocation logic workflow in our help article.

Fixes

User Permissions: Resolved an issue with the "Create Overallocated Orders" permission, where users without this permission were still able to create orders that were not fully allocated. Now, this permission is honored, both for manually created orders and orders created via file-based import.

Billing Manager

Fixes

Manual Payment Marking: Resolved an issue where manually marked paid invoices still triggered past due notifications. Now, marking an invoice as paid sets the payment date and stops related notifications.

Improvements

Customer Portal: enhanced interface to align with the new invoice screen design for consistent user experience.

Invoice Management

  • New Invoice Page Layout: The invoice review page is now split into “Published” and “Unpublished” tabs, helping you better manage invoice statuses and workflows.
  • Invoice Structure Updates: Updated the invoice structure to support new statuses: “Open", “Paid”, and “Past due.”
  • Preview Before Publishing: You can now preview invoice PDFs before publishing. PDFs are not cached until publishing to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate New Invoice Numbers: If an invoice number already exists in QuickBooks, the system can now generate the next available number automatically.
  • Delete Invoices: You can now delete invoices. Please note that any associated charges will be marked as "Not Reviewed" and will still appear in the charges grid.

Small Parcel Suite

Improvements

Enhanced Rate Shopping Markups: Rate shopping now includes any carrier markups in the estimates provided by carriers.

3PL Warehouse Manager

Improvements

Inventory Audit: We’ve made the following updates and improvements to our Inventory Audit features:

  • We have completed the Beta cycle for the updated Audit Inventory page and have deprecated the previous version. The old version of this page is no longer available.
  • We added a new column to the Audit Jobs grid that displays the Closed Date for each audit job, and the left-side Warehouse filter to display the warehouse list in ascending alphabetical order.
  • We updated the grid filters for both Location- and Item-based audit jobs. For item-based audit jobs, we used the Location Name and Location Type filters that were previously available only for location-based audits. We also updated the data load for the Location grid to work like Find Orders. The grid loads up to 1000 rows by default. If more than 1000 locations exist, the grid will not load data to give you a chance to filter the data and reduce the number of rows. Alternatively, you can choose to load the entire data set, recognizing that this might take some time.
  • The home page is now more consistent with other pages in the WMS. We combined the action links into a Manage Menu; added an Options menu, which includes grid-related actions such as resetting the grid layout, clearing grid sorts and column-based filters, and exporting grid data; added a new "Are you sure" window when closing an audit job to help ensure a job is not closed accidentally.
  • The Review Audit grid now displays all locations that were part of an audit. Previously, only those locations that were counted were included in the review. Now, locations that were not counted are displayed. If a location was marked Empty during the audit, the Actual Qty column displays a zero (0) quantity. However, if the location was skipped (not counted) during the audit it is now marked as "Not Counted" in the Actual Qty column.
  • The Review Audit screen now displays notes captured in SmartScan while counting the audit. Those notes now appear above the grid so that information is available as you review and reconcile the variances found during the audit.
  • Capture Moveable Unit data as well as track-bys with an updated setting that previously specified only whether an auditor is required to capture track-by data. The label for the checkbox control has been updated to read "Capture MU and track-bys". This option is now selected by default when creating an audit job since it's not possible to reconcile audit jobs if counted inventory has assigned MUs or track-bys but that data was not captured during the audit. During an audit review, the MU data displays in the SKU column of the Review Audit grid along with the rest of the track-by data, such as Lot, Expiration, and Serial Number (S/N).
  • The "Review Audit" grid is now simplified and easier to use: we have removed the nested table in the grid, so each row in the grid now displays its associated Location as well as all data about the SKUs counted within that location.
  • The Audit Job grid on the home page better supports large data sets better. It now behaves similar to the Find Orders grid. On loading the page, the grid will populate with data if there are less than 1000 rows in the grid, if there are more than that, grid data will not load and users have a chance to filter the data set to make it smaller, or load the full data set, recognizing that loading the full data set might take some extra time. As part of this effort, we also updated the left-side Status filter to include a new option "Not Closed", which displays all audit jobs that are not yet closed. This new status is now the default when the Audit Inventory page loads.

Reprint MU Labels: Reprint damaged or missing MU labels in SmartScan. See our help article to learn how to use this feature.

Include Shipping Cost Setting: Toggle whether to include shipping costs for individual accounts and customers instead of at the carrier level.

Billing Manager

Fixes

Charge creation: The clone rate sheet module has been corrected, allowing you to enter up to four decimal places when adjusting rates.

Charge calculation: We updated the UI in the manual charge creation module to account for decimal points. The charge was always created correctly but the UI in the module displayed the incorrect value.

Date selection: adjusted the date picker within conditional rates to account for user selection.

Improvements

SKU: We stopped caching SKU name and moved to SKU ID in order to avoid issues when recalculating charges on SKUs that have been updated.

Email notifications: automating the process of adding stock email templates to the customer’s account when Billing Manager is enabled.

Recalculating charges: Updated the recalculate tool to account for $0 charges.

Clone rate sheet

  • ability to edit Units of Measure (UOM) within the clone rate module.
  • ability to edit markups within the clone rate module.

Rate List grid

  • shows which customers the rates are applied to.
  • sorting by dollar amount examines the entire data set and arranges it either from low to high or from high to low.

Rate Sheets grid: shows which customers the rate sheets are applied to.

Billing Manager

Improvements

Charges: Charges are now displayed in the browser's local time instead of UTC.

3PL Warehouse Manager

Improvements

Item Alias: We’ve updated the Item Alias Import Template to no longer require deleting the header row in order to import correctly.

Inventory Audit: Easily navigate the Inventory Audit page, which now matches the standard functionality of our other pages.

Inventory Audit Review: We’ve updated the Review window when reviewing an audit job where track-bys were not collected to make it clear that, if track-bys are present on the inventory that was counted, it is not possible to reconcile variances.

Small Parcel Suite: Including shipping costs when printing labels can now be configured on a carrier account by carrier account basis, rather than being designated on a customer by customer basis.

Bug Fixes

Inventory Audit: Resolved an issue when reconciling audit results where a variance would fail to adjust properly if the inventory being adjusted was "on hold".

Inventory Audit: Resolved an issue where users were able to create audit jobs for a customer in a warehouse to which that customer was not assigned.

Inventory Audit: Resolved an issue in the Audit home page where the Edit button, once active, would remain active even if no open audit job was selected in the grid.

SmartScan Pick: Resolved an uncommon issue when performing a "reallocate at pick time" where it was possible to have the system reallocate inventory from a closed transaction if the user chooses to reallocate inventory that is already allocated to other orders.

Packing Inserts: Resolved an issue when there are two different insert definitions for the same SKU-based insert, each with a different "trigger" SKU where an order with both SKUs would only have the SKU-based insert added for the first trigger SKU, but not the second.

Billing Manager

Improvements

Charges: Transaction Confirmed Date is set to be the same as the date from the 3PL Warehouse Manager.

Invoices: Enhanced PDF generation to prevent timeouts on larger files.

Return rates: The total weight is used instead of the line item's weight when creating a rate based on weight for returns.

Rate sheet: Enhanced the process on duplicating rate sheets. To learn more, see our article on Duplicating a Rate Sheet.
