Workaround for Connecting to Zebra Printers after Edge 143 Update

Only the system administrator should implement these changes.

Microsoft Edge's recent update to Edge 143 introduced a feature that is preventing some users from connecting to and using Zebra printers.

Our team is working on a fix that will resolve the issue with the new Edge version. In the meantime, here is a workaround that allows you to connect to your Zebra printers.

  1. If possible, revert to Edge 142. If not, contact your system administrator to review and implement these changes. Administrator’s access is required.
  2. Contact our Support team to get the registry scripts. These scripts edit Edge's preferences so it does not enforce the new feature. No other changes are made to your system. This opt-out will no longer be effective in the Edge 146 release.
  3. Run the relevant Windows or macOS scripts for your system.
  4. Close out of all Edge windows and processes. If there is any doubt, please restart the computer.
  5. Log back into the Extensiv application, and label printing should be restored.

For System Administrators

There is a group policy entry available in Microsoft's documentation.
