Common Transactional Receiving Charges
All automatic and manual charges in 3PL Warehouse Manager are set up for each customer through the Billing Wizard in the Customers module. If you don't know where to start when it comes to invoicing your customers for receiving their products, we've captured the most common billing charges associated with receiving.
Charges for receipt processing are typically broken down into three main categories:
- Item-based handling fees. These are meant to charge for the labor used in handling items, which could be charged by pallet, carton, piece, CuFt, or any other desired UOM.
- Value-added service fees. These fees account for additional processes and services associated with receiving items, such as palletization, port-based, and container unloading fees.
- Initial storage charges. These are intended to charge upon delivery of the items for the first month of storage in your facility.
Use the articles on your left to learn more about the common charges associated with each type of receiving fee.
