Creating a Rate for Inbound Pallet Fee Based on the Number of Pallets

This article outlines the steps on how to create a rate that allows you to charge based on the number of palletized units entered at the time of creating a receipt. You can also watch this instructional video for guidance.
- Navigate to Rates > Rate List.Â
- Click + Create Rate in the upper right corner.
- Select the following options as shown below on the Create New Rate window. Then, click Continue.
Automated rate > Simple Rate > Flat Rate
- Provide basic details such as Rate Name, Rate Description, and Charge Label.
- Select Receiving for  Transaction Type and Handling for Charge Category. Then, click Continue.
- Â Select the following for each field in the Charge Method section. Then, click Next.Â
Charge Type: Flat
Counting Unit: Number of Palletized
Calculate By: CountThe Counting Unit selected, Number of Palletized refers to the Number of Palletized field in the Override Receipt Units section when creating a Receipt.

- Enter the desired charge in the Charge Amount section. Then, click Next.Â
- Click Skip on the Rate-Level Rules section. There is no need for a rate minimum or to group total charges.Â
- Click Yes, Save to save the rate.
 - Select Yes or No as desired if you want to add this to a rate sheet.
