Understanding Reports
Each of the help articles located on the left and listed below walk through the general steps to run various reports within 3PL Warehouse Manager and details the data populated in each report.
If you would like to customize any of these reports, please see Customizing Reports.
Both warehouse and customer users must have the associated permission assigned to their user role to access any of our legacy reporting options. Each reporting permission and the associated reports are as follows:
- Administration Module > Reports >Â Reports 1
- Stock Status
- Transaction Register
- Item Activity
- Location Identifier
- Administration Module > Reports >Â Reports 2
- Transaction by Activity
- View Transaction
- Transaction by Line Item
- Shipment Value
- Open Orders
- Open Receipts
- Open Assemblies
- View Item
- Administration Module > Reports >Â Reports 3
- Inventory Turns
- Stock Status by Anniversary
- Transfer Activity
- Administration Module > Reports >Â Reports 4
- Overage/Shortage & Damaged
- Item Movement
- Find Item
- Location List
- Quarantine Location
- Replenishment
- Inventory Weight and Volume
- Administration Module > Reports >Â Reports 5
- Customer Pricing
- User List
- Transaction Review
- Freight Audit
- Cycle Count
- UPS Daily Summary
- Package Usage
- Small Parcel Transactions
An administrative user can assign each of these permissions to a user's role via the Manage Roles page. Please note that if a user is assigned the relevant permission, that means they are able to access all reports associated with that permission. Additionally, if a user is granted the correct permission but unable to access an associated report, this is likely because they are not assigned a Classic View Access role that corresponds with the selected permission(s). To learn more about user roles, please see Managing User Roles.
Smart User Tip: Exporting from our system normally gives a 1-to-1 representation of the data from the grid. However, when numerical values contain leading zeroes or exceed 11 characters, those values will automatically convert to scientific notation upon opening the file. To prevent Excel from converting your data into formulas when performing an export, choose to export your report in CSV format.
Once you make your selections to generate a report and click Run Report, scroll down to the report. From the 'Select a Format' drop-down menu, specify CSV (comma delimited) before you click Export.
One method of avoiding this conversion in Excel is saving the file, converting it to a .txt file, then importing into Excel. To do this, open a blank worksheet, select the Data tab, then specify to import 'From Text/CSV'. For further guidance on this, please refer to Microsoft's help article here.
