October 27, 2021 – Feature Release Notes
Up to 1 hour of downtime anticipated between 20:00 and 21:00 PT (23:00 and 24:00 ET)
New + Improved
WMS-18599 – SmartScan Receipts: Added the ability to print movable unit (MU labels) directly from the Receipts module without requiring Zebra Enterprise Browser. To use this feature, you must have Browser Print installed on a computer that is on the same network as your printer and SmartScan device. Using the hamburger menu in SmartScan, you can connect to an available ZPL printer and specify if you want MU labels to print automatically upon creation. A print icon has been added to the MU row in the receipt line item grid so you can print (or reprint) the MU label manually as well.
For more information about printing in SmartScan, see Printing MU Labels in SmartScan.
WMS-18889 – SmartScan Pick/Pack: Updated the Pick and Pack modules to support processing of orders that include inactive items. This supports the occasional need to ship inactive inventory back to the inventory owner or to another recipient for disposal, repurposing, etc.
WMS-19121 – Small Parcel Suite: Added the ability to manually update the tracking number on an order. This function is only available for orders that have not been shipped via SmartParcel, giving you the ability to update a tracking number manually so you can close the order.
WMS-19155 – Transaction by Activity Report: Updated the default report template to exclude returns from the total quantity value at the bottom of the report.
WMS-19183 – MU Labels: Updated the default MU label template to add a page break between each printed MU label.
WMS-19197 – Small Parcel Settings: Made several minor style updates to this page for consistency.
Fixes
WMS-12732 – SmartScan: Resolved an issue in the library used to support scanning of GS1 barcodes that prevented proper recognition of expiration dates beyond the year 2030.
WMS-17241 – SmartScan Receipts: Addressed an issue when receiving against ASN and using the 'Split MU' option where receiving a quantity greater than what was expected resulted in the full quantity being recorded for the first MU created, a quantity of zero being recorded on each subsequent MU, and inconsistencies being displayed on the OSD report.
WMS-18702 – Batch Item Update: Corrected an issue where clearing a 'StorageUOM' value from the file of exported items would not clear the value from the item configuration upon import of the updated file. The null value was being ignored instead of being used to clear the value stored in the database.
WMS-18846 – Create/Edit Receipt: Resolved a rounding issue that could cause the calculation of receiveitem weight to be incorrect at the thousandths digit and beyond.
WMS-19056 – Order Import: Addressed issues related to importing orders through file, EDI, or API when auto-filling Carrier Account/ZIP fields for UPS or FedEx orders, in which the system would not insert the zip code and would exclude the account number in some cases.
WMS-19089 – SmartScan Move: Corrected an issue when moving items from a receiveitem that is partially allocated to orders where you could not move the unallocated inventory.
WMS-19156 – REST API: Resolved an issue with the orders/orderrouting endpoint where the 'Num1UnitTypeID' fields were being incorrectly convered from null to 0, which caused a model validation error when trying to pick and pack orders.
WMS-19205 – Small Parcel Suite: Addressed a minor issue in the SmartPack grid that would occur when adding multiple packages at one time, in which the first package did not contain a count number.
Known Issues
WMS-19359 – SmartScan Receipts: We are aware of an issue that occurs when auto-printing MU labels from SmartScan, in which the application prints the MU label each time you identify a new item on the MU rather than only printing it once you identify the first item on the MU.
WMS-19363 – SmartScan Receipts: We are aware of an issue that occurs when splitting a movable unit, in which the application only prints the first MU label if you have auto-printing enabled.
