Definitions
To ensure that we're all using the same terminology, let's start with a list of definitions:
Migration - Software migration is the process of transferring data, applications, and other digital assets from one technology environment to another. Â In this context, we are moving the legacy login experience to the Extensiv Hub login experience.Â
Single sign-on (SSO) - Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication process that allows users to access multiple applications or systems with a single set of login credentials. With SSO, users only need to log in once to gain access to all authorized resources, without needing to enter their login credentials repeatedly for each application or system.
Legacy - When we use the word legacy, we are referring to the pre-migration application and login experience of 3PL Warehouse Manager and SmartScan. Legacy can refer to the login experience or the application as well.Â
Legacy login - The legacy login provides access to legacy 3PL Warehouse manager through the following URL: https://3w.secure-wms.com/
Extensiv Hub - Extensiv Hub is our new platform that provides a secure, single sign-on for all Extensiv products. Extensiv Hub unifies the user experience across all of our products, including 3PL Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Manager, Order Manager, and Integration Manager.
Extensiv login - The Extensiv login (or Extensiv Hub login) provides access to the Extensiv Hub platform and access to all of Extensiv products (mentioned above). The Extensiv Hub login can be accessed through the following URL: https://app.extensiv.com/Â
Active / Activated Account - An active account means that a user has completed the Extensiv Hub login process by using a valid email address and temporary password, created a new password, validated legacy credentials and successfully logged into the system.
tpl / tplguid  - This information is a string of letters and numbers unique to your company, and it is necessary to access the new SmartScan login experience. This id is referenced both as tpl and tplguid.Â
SmartScan - Web-based mobile scanning application for both enterprise and consumer-grade devices (Android and iOS).
SmartScan legacy login - The SmartScan pre-migration login experience requires username and password to access the legacy system. The legacy SmartScan system can be accessed through the following URL:
- https://global.secure-wms.com/scannerapp/?tplguid={your-tplguid-goes-here}Â Â
- or - Â - https://secure-wms.com/scannerapp/?tplguid={your-tplguid-goes-here}Â
SmartScan login - The SmartScan post-migration login experience requires a valid Extensiv Hub email and password and active account. The SmartScan URL can be accessed through the following URL: https://3w.secure-wms.com/scannerapp/?tpl={your-tplguid-goes-here}Â Â

Use Cases
Scenario #1: A legacy 3PL Warehouse Manager user, who was migrated to Extensiv Hub and activated their account, now needs to access the legacy login experience for 3PL Warehouse Manger.
- Solution #1: If the user remembers their previous credentials (username and password) they can enter their credentials into the legacy login experience to gain access.Â
- Solution #2: If the user does not remember their password, then a system administrator should log in to the legacy login for 3PL Warehouse Manager and navigate to the user management area of the application. From there, they can update the user's password and share the new password with the user.
- Summary: With either solution, the user should login with the username and password that is associated with the legacy system.Â
Scenario #1: A NEW 3PL Warehouse Manager user was created in Extensiv Hub. They can log into Extensiv Hub, but they can not access the legacy 3PL Warehouse Manager through the legacy login experience.Â
- Solution: A system administrator should log in to the legacy login for 3PL Warehouse Manager and navigate to the user management area of the application. From there, they can update the user's password and share the new password with the user.
- Summary: The user should login with the username and NEW password that is now associated with the legacy system. If they want to access Extensiv hub, they must use their validated email address and Extensiv Hub specific password.Â
Scenario #3: A NEW 3PL Warehouse Manager user was created in the legacy version of the software. At this point, they have no corresponding account with Extensiv Hub. Post migration, the user must access Extensiv Hub to access 3PL Warehouse Manager. Â
- Solution: Leading up to the night of the upcoming migration, Extensiv will send Extensiv Hub invitation emails to all new users that were created in the legacy 3PL Warehouse Manager system since February 15th, 2023.Â
- Summary: Users will receive an email invitation from Extensiv with a temporary password and instructions for logging in to Extensiv Hub. We have a dedicated help article titled  Logging in to Extensiv Hub for the First Time that outlines the login process and provides additional guidance.
