April 1, 2020 – Minor Release Notes
30 minutes of downtime anticipated between 21:00 and 23:00 MDT
New + Improved
WMS-2964 – Orders/Receipts: Updated the 'Purchase Order' fields when editing orders and receipts to be a combo box that includes a drop-down where you can select existing purchase orders and a text field so you can type in a value, if desired.
WMS-5468 – Orders: Added the ability to specify a reason and apply a charge for cancelling an order. The reason for cancellation is now required, while the charge is optional. This feature was already available for receipts and was a requested feature by several 3PL Central customers.
WMS-9896 – Manage Customers: Added the ability to "clone" an existing customer configuration to create a new customer. This makes it much easier to create customers where many of their settings are shared. Please note that values that are customer-specific, such as names, contact information, account numbers, etc. are purposely excluded from the cloning process.
WMS-10651 – SmartScan: Removed the ability for manual scaling (zooming) in the browser. Doing this could cause problems when trying to interact with the application while it was not scaled at 100%.
WMS-10746 – Mass Add: After more than 3 months as a prototype, we are releasing the updates to Mass Add generally and replacing the legacy Mass Add page with the new version. The new Mass Add page takes advantage of much better grid and data access, as well as improved sorting and filtering options.
WMS-10753 – Create/Edit Order: After two months of release as a prototype, we are releasing the updated Create/Edit Order page generally. This page introduces significant improvements to adding and editing order line items, including the support for Fulfillment Invoicing.
WMS-10825–30 – Orders/Receipts: Disabled the ability for Customer Users to confirm a receipt, add or modify order line items, consolidate packages, or reallocate orders once a transaction is marked as complete, as well as the abilities to create and modify pick jobs. Previously, these options were still available for selection, and attempting to select one of these would throw a vague error message. Now, the system disables these options from being selected by Customer Users and gives an explanation as to why.
WMS-10851 – Order Import Template: Updated the 'ShipToState' and 'ShipToCountry' field notes and added the accepted values as separate worksheets.
WMS-10879 – Flex Header Order Import Template: Added a note to the 'Quantity' field related to how the file import can be successful with line item quantities of 0.
WMS-10895 – Attach Files: For clarity, we relabeled the 'Cancel' button in the Attach Files dialog, accessible from the Documents menu on the Find Orders page, to read "Done" since its purpose is to close the dialog, not specifically to cancel any ongoing operation.
WMS-10910 – EDI: A large amount of 5xx errors were occurring related to EDI parsers when an invalid field existed. The system now returns those errors as a 400 instead of a 500, along with messaging informing you of the invalid entry.
WMS-10918 – Find Item Report: Previously, free typing in the SKU field followed by clicking 'Run Report' would often cause an error. The system now catches the error before it occurs and provides a message with corrective instructions.
WMS-10961 – Manage Users: When adding or modifying a user, a 500 error displayed indicating an issue with unique indexing. The system now displays a proper 400 error indicating a duplicate user.
WMW-10978 – SmartPack: When attempting to complete packing an order, an error occurred when a retailer was not selected from the drop-down list. The error is now caught before it occurs and a message appears indicating the need to select a retailer.
Fixes
WMS-5284 – Customer Notifies: Resolved an issue when editing notification messages where the 'Paste selected filed' links were not working.
WMS-5285 – Receipts: Addressed an issue that caused an error if you attempted to unconfirm a receipt that had one or more line items with 0 quantity.
WMS-5509 – Find Receipts: Corrected an issue where the Arrival Date displayed with a timestamp different than what was actually specified on the Create/Edit Receipt page. Typically, the timestamp was off by 1–2 hours.
WMS-6813 – Manage Inventory: Resolved an issue where the Description would disappear from the grid after you selected to combine identical rows.
WMS-9958 – Create/Edit Order: Addressed an issue where the Original Qty column was not populating properly. The Original Qty column mimics the Quantity column value unless the order is "short shipped". Since Original Qty is relevant only when using Short Ship, we have disabled this column if Short Ship is not enabled for your database.
WMS-10699 – SmartScan: Corrected an issue that broke the ability to use partial units when you specify charges to add to a transaction.
WMS-10704 – Create/Edit Receipt: Resolved an issue where the receipt line item grid displayed the expiration date as being one day earlier than the date entered when creating the line item. The correct date was recorded but was displayed incorrectly in the grid.
WMS-10789 – SmartScan: Addressed an issue related to reallocating inventory to an order at pick time where it was possible for the WMS to "create" inventory to satisfy a reallocate at pick time operation if you were reallocating from one order line item to another on the same order.
WMS-10811 – Manage Assemblies: Corrected an issue where an assembly component with stock on a very large number of movable units (tens of thousands of MUs) could cause database queries to time out. The fix avoids this problem by allowing the system to break such a query into chunks for processing.
WMS-10899 – Manage Users: Resolved an issue when assigning customers to a Customer User where the Customer drop-down list included customers that had already been assigned to the user. Now, the drop-down excludes customers that have already been selected to reduce confusion when configuring user access.
WMS-10938 – SmartPack: Addressed an issue that would occur if you had SmartPack Settings open in one tab and then opened SmartPack in a different tab for a different customer, where you would encounter an error message if you attempted to save changes to SmartPack settings.
